The Monster Keeps Me Safe

Different to what I expected. Quirky start which I nearly gave up reading over and for me it felt like, while it ended- it didn't really complete the story. The storyline aside it was a well written book. It's a bit like a light-hearted dark rom.

This was a wild ride and most aptly titled! The ups and downs, twists and turns, they keep coming as the story evolves. Our heroine, she is all over the place, when the only thing she wants is to be safe and cared for. She kinda, sorta, finds that, just not maybe as she expected. That is the centre of her development, her expectations versus her reality. She struggles to make them sync, and it is only after she aligns the two that she finds the peace she thought was out of reach.
