Under the Stars: A Family Saga Romance

The thing I hate about romances is they are predictable. The thing I love about romances is that I always know how they will turn out. What makes it super, great, good, or mediocre is how the writer handles the details. Kris knows how to handle the details. Since appearances mean little to me, I usually just skim over "gorgeous" women or men, "sleek waterfalls" of hair, and/or "defined" muscle groups, sharp or scruffy jaws, but she gave me instead twinkling eyes, insightful reflections, and "take life with a laugh" attitudes. Characters I can relate to, Frenemies to lovers is as good a trope as any and she makes the transition between the two logical for the personalities. I appreciate the growth of the principals and the slow unfolding of the forever relationship. I found the reading easy and flowing because of her mastery of writing fundamentals and attention to details. Finally, I REALLY liked this book, the characters, and this author. Two thumbs up, lady. You rock!
