Steamier and scarier (and sadder) than the previous books, and every bit as well-written/"charactered"/plotted, this is a compelling read!!! From her appearances in previous books, I didn't much like Allegra Rossi, and wasn't sure how an entire book about her would work. She grows and changes without compromising her essential nature & I was very impressed and much warmer toward her by the end. Still not sure I'd want to get coffee with her, but she is fascinating from a safe distance!
