Earning A Ring

Sports stories are not my forte but romance is. Kristina Matthews got me to stop and take notice with Earning a Ring. Once I got past the baseball references I actually enjoyed Bryce and Rachel. Busy careers, fiery personalities and attention getting characters made for an intriguing romance. I am not one who likes to give too much of a story away but I will say that learning to compromise was key to making this relationship work. This author is new to me and would enjoy reading more of her work in the future.

This is the fourth book in the series. Bryce is raining World Series MVP and just signed a big new contract the pressure is on. Now he is in that dreaded slump, but that's not all that's going on. He gets some shocking news from Rachel that will change both their lives forever. Bryce's playboy days are numbered which should scare him crazy, but he's feeling a whole lot different. Rachel soon finds herself in the position that her reporting job is in jeopardy, but Bryce steps up to the plate more ways than one. One big issue these to have is communication. They have trouble saying what is truly on their minds which leads to a lot of misunderstandings. Their new relationship gets tested when another bombshell is dropped on Bryce. Bryce has a lot on his plate with how his playing on the field and his personal life how is going to affect his playing? Can Bryce and Rachel's relationship survive or end before it even begins?
