Dreadnought And Shuttle: Halcyone Space, book 3

I enjoyed the first two books of the Halcyone series more than this third one. Even so, I'm not dissuaded from buying the 4th and finding out what happens to this band of misfits. This third book seemed a bit repetitive to me. The main characters didn't show much growth, and got short shrift. Most of the attention was on a newcomer whose plot line was a bit too predictable, and conflict outcome a bit too pat. And, I think I can see what role her character will play in the next book in the series. My favorite character - Barre, was relegated to more of a subservient role. Perhaps this pied piper (Mozart?) of the Halcyone AI will get more attention soon (fingers crossed). Still. I enjoyed Dreadnought well enough to finish it, and am looking forward to book 4.
