About this ebook

The little-known sequel to the best-selling children's book, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Tip, for as long as he can remember, has been under the control of a witch named Mombi. Upon news that Mombi is returning home to Gillikin Country, Tip plans to frighten her away by making a scarecrow named Jack Pumpkinhead.

But Mombi isn't fooled. For revenge, she uses magic to bring Jack to life and then threatens to turn Tip into a statue. Tip is forced to escape the witch with the help of his new friend, Jack. Together they head to Emerald City, where more magic and danger awaits ...

The Marvelous Land of Oz is significant for challenging gender roles in an early work of fantasy, with a boy who becomes a princess.

This title is being released as a part of Momentum's Classic Fantasy Fiction series.
