La missione comprende il ritrovamento della nave gemella Skydolf comandata dal capitano Ramon Gomero partita due anni prima, che una volta entrata in quel Sistema, fa perdere le sue tacce. La Wynagen s'imbatte in una vastissima cintura di asteroidi che emettono radiazioni letali e in una sonda automatica che ruota attorno ad una stella di neutroni e che trasmette un misterioso messaggio: "Vi state inoltrando dell'impero Krison, prestate la massima attenzione".
