About the author
Tahar Ben Jelloun est né à Fès en 1944. Il s’installe à Paris dès 1971, publie ses poèmes chez Maspero et voit son premier roman, Harrouda, édité par Maurice Nadeau aux Éditions Denoël en 1973. Poète et romancier, auteur notamment de L’enfant de sable et de sa suite La nuit sacrée, qui a obtenu le prix Goncourt en 1987, Partir, Le bonheur conjugal et L’ablation.
