"La bella di Lodi" è una commedia d’amore e soldi, piuttosto realistica e pratica, tra una splendida ragazza possidente e un intraprendente meccanico sexy. Siamo in pieno boom italiano: 1960 on the road. Al di là dei conflitti di classe, i due finiscono presto energicamente avvinghiati, strapazzandosi in luoghi non propizi, lungo l’Autostrada del Sole appena aperta: raccordi, svincoli, autogrill, garage, motel. Ma non si tratta solo d’amore e sesso. La coppia deve fare i conti anche con altri aspetti importantissimi nella vita italiana di sempre: lavoro, famiglia, società, motori, rapporti economici, musica leggera.
