About the author
Alberto Mario (1825-1883) nato a Lendinara (Rovigo), partecipò sin da giovanissimo ai moti del Risorgimento, su posizioni radicali e mazziniane. Dopo aver combattuto con i Mille, si dedicò a un’intensa attività di giornalista e scrittore, da un punto di vista molto critico nei confronti del neonato Regno d’Italia.
