Allo stesso tempo l’opera ha segnato un’epoca, influenzando la successiva produzione fantascientifica, non soltanto sovietica. Nel 1967 ne è stato tratto anche un film di successo.
About the author
Ivan Efremov (1908-1972) è stato un paleontologo e scrittore russo, considerato il padre della fantascienza sovietica. Professore di Paleontologia, a lui si deve la definizione della tafonomia, che studia la formazione dei fossili. In Italia sono stati tradotti i suoi romanzi: Navi di stelle (1961), Incontro su Tuscarora (1963) e Cor serpentis (1967).
