About this eBook

Hiding behind her quick wit and biting tongue, the last thing in the world Lady Grace Post wants is a husband. After all, if she can’t have the love of her life, why would she want some other man? Unfortunately, her Machiavellian matchmaking great-uncle, the Duke of Danby, has other plans for Grace and has decided it is past time for her to be wed. To keep the duke from selecting a fellow she doesn’t want, Grace begins her great husband hunt, very aware that her time is ticking away.

Oliver Ashbee, Earl of Prestwood, has never gotten over Grace. Watching her from afar, as she dances and flirts with other men, is enough to drive him to an early grave. Things would be different if he could court her, if he could hold her, if he could kiss her again. If things had been different she’d have been his wife long ago. But things aren’t different…

…Or are they?

2.5 ***Spoilers***Grace and Oliver are in love, but just as they were going to announce their betrothal, Oliver's father informed him he was already engaged by pre-arrangement with a young girl. After years apart, Grace's grandfather tells her to find a husband or he'd find one for her. Enters Daniel Lacy for Grace to pursue. What I disliked about this is that the author waited until Grace and Daniel were almost at the alter before Oliver finds a way to break the contract, and Daniel walks into the room and catches Grace and Oliver together. This was near the last chapter. I don't feel that the author should have taken it that close to matrimony. Excuse me, but if Oliver loved Grace so much, he should have been trying to find ways to break the marriage contract eariler instead of waiting until Grace was forced to find a husband. Daniel was hurt. I do hope he later finds his HEA.
