About this ebook

The Wu-Tang Clan is American hip-hop royalty. Rolling Stone called them the 'best rap group ever' and their debut album is considered one of the greatest of all time. Since 1992, they have released seven gold and platinum studio albums with sales of more than 40 million copies. So how did nine kids from the Brownsville projects go from nothing to global icons? Remarkably, no one has told their story-until now. Raw is the incredible first-person account of one boy's journey from the Staten Island projects to international stardom. Part social history, part confessional memoir, U-God's intimate portrait of his life - and those of his Wu-Tang brothers - is a brave and unfiltered account of escaping poverty to transform the New York hip-hop scene forever.

First up U, Im a 53 years old South African, not schooled in rap, have never been punched in the face, never robbed anyone, never carried a gun or been to jail.Actually, i dont remember ever punching enyone in the face. I picked this book up in my quest to learn how to rhyme so i can teach the kids in my township to rap. I have gone through a couple of irap nstructional books(5+) and wanted to read one by a rapper. Yours was rated a 5 , was reasonably priced the Wu are highly rated althoigh i didnt really know much anout them, so i bought youra. Raw and honest. I can't claim to identify with the machismo, but i relate to you, U Thanks for a brilliant book. I wish I could get my boys to read it. Pleasantly surprising. Buy this book, whether youre really interested in Hip Hop or not, whatever your taste. If you really want a good book, this is one of the best. And I've read a lot of the best. Big up, U. Bring another one on. We'll be waiting.
