This is a short story to tell you how Sonia comes to the City of Blood and why. You learn more about the Black Fan and Levi. I like Sonia and Levi, their relationship grows and he finds out her secret. You also find out what his job is. I enjoyed the book and would recommend the series. I would also recommend reading the First Truth, a prequel to this book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

'Bite of the Truth' is the second book in Laura Greenwood's "Black Fan" series and if you've read the blurb you realize there are secrets being held by Sonia, the receptionist at Black Fan. She's had a double life going and doesn't want anyone at the Black Fan to find out who she is OR that the mayor of City of Blood is her sister. When her boss asks her to go to a party and represent them, she can't say no but if she says yes, she'll lose everything!! What an adrenoline rush reading this book.

I had fun reading this short story. Levi and Sonia are a cute couple and it was fun to watch their relationship develop. I look forward to seeing more in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review, but my opinions are my own.
