Cosette has been kept in a tower all her life by her mother. In recent years, Cosette has cut her hair and has learned how to escape from the tower when her mother is gone. During her mother's most recent disappearance, Cosette leaves the tower to go to the village where she meets Archie. She and Archie have been secretly meeting for months and now Archie is proposing marriage to her. Cosette says that she will consider it and return the next day with her answer. On her way home, Cosette is kidnapped which sets off a series of crazy events. Cosette will encounter jealous princesses, secret rituals, mystical animals and a closely guarded secret. This is the retelling of Rapunzel. Cosette has been locked in a tower by her mother all her life. She sneaks out of the tower when her mother is out. She meets Archie in the village and this goes on for months. Archie proposes marriage and she will come back the next day with her answer. As she is going back to the tower, she is kidnapped and this sets off a crazy chain of events. Will Cosette get out of the craziness and get her happy ending? The story of Rapunzel works around her long hair, but in this retelling she has silver blood that gets her into the competition for the prince. Cosette has been locked in a high tower by her mother but had gotten out numerous times and met Archie in the village. Now in the palace and in a competition, she finds out that Archie is the prince, making her desperately want to win. The characters are nicely done. The storyline has some really good surprises and twists to the original story. Loved that the two had a connection before the palace. Great ending.
