Unicorn tear can do what? Mirror, mirror on the wall will Snow escape her curse? If you have read any of this series Ms. Greenwood has taken some beloved fairy tales and made them fresh and new. Snow is at the Grimm Academy where her handsome prince will be along with some other magical critters. The author has written Snow as just an average teenager a bit shy and afraid along with being thought of as being a bit strange and weird. Any geek or nerd (I use those terms with love) will understand. It also is a piece that shows the growth Snow goes through and the fact that friends on your side really do make the difference. I loved the book and I am looking forward to reading more work by Ms. Greenwood. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

If you've been keeping up with Laura Greenwood's "Grimm Academy" series, then you know Grimm Academy is where all fairy tale characters go to avoid or stop their prophecy, the original fairy tale, from happening. In 'Mirrors and Magic, the fourth book of the series introduces us to Snow, the re-telling of Snow White. In this version, Snow is a bit geeky, a bit of a nerd, extremely shy, and filled with anxiety. That is until she meets Prince Edward in class. It was great seeing how Snow grew in confidence afterward and came into herself. The story was enchanting with just enough drama, angst, and chemistry to keep the storyline flowing seamlessly. This was such a fun, easy read and was a great escape for a rainy day.

Snow is like me and deals with severe anxiety and like Snow, I have to remind myself sometimes that's it just my imagination it's not real but unlike me Snow really does have something to worry well three if I remember her telling Edward. Edward is such a good guy instead of freaking out like most guys do when a girl has a full on panic attack and he stayed and took care of her and really listened to her. I really loved this version of Snow but she was portrayed as someone like us commoner's and not as perfect as some people think and that made her even more of a heroine than any princess who has faced their prophecies. Great story. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
