'Tiger Throne' is the second installment in Laura Greenwood's "Sabre Woods Academy" series and I must say, this one seemed exceptionally short for some reason. Still, it gave the highlights of Tiger Crown, book one, and picked up with Kayla winning the tournament and becoming the Shifter Heir to the chagrin of her mother and Serena. Now it seems Kayla has no time for herself at all between schoolwork and continually being called to the Shifter Council. There are several things that have become contradictions from book one to book two with questions whirling in my mind. I'm hoping book three, Tiger Queen, will bring things full circle and answer them for me.

Kayra learns about the court system and how it is working under her mother. There are many things going on that Kayra does not agree with. Too many secrets and underhanded things going on. Then her mother the Queen decides who Kayra should marry. This makes things harder between Kayra and Magnus. My question is what is up with the wish bracelet that Demi keeps giving Kayra? I would like to know more about them. This is the second book that sets things up for Kayra to decide if she will be Queen or do something about what is going on. The plot thickens in this fun second book of the series. I enjoyed seeing Kayra tackle new challenges as well as the slow romantic progression. The end of the book was a soft cliffhanger for what will happen in the next book and I’m eager to start reading it. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
