The to remember about Ms hamilton she really started this romantic fantasy popularity before "Twilight" there was Anita. Laural K Hamilton is to romantic sci-fi what Tolkien was to the good vs evil alternate world fantasy epics. Once I had read the Lord of the rings trilogy all other seemed like pale knock offs. He created a make believe world that an adult can believe in and yes even in some small way escape to. Well anita is your Frodo, except its not middle earth it here and now only tweaked just enough to believe in vampires, zombies, and shape shifters!! Its so much fun, and like potatoe chips you cant have just one! So be careful its addicting!!

such a great book and great series. an ex boyfriend gave me the first ten books in the series in 2001, at Christmas, because he knew how much I loved vampire books. for quite a few years I didn't read them because he gave them to me. but after a while I finally picked up the first book and couldn't put it down. after that I drank the whole series as fast as I could. it felt like I was in a desert searching for water. then when I found it I had to drink as much as could as fast as I could. as if my life depended on it. and I couldn't get enough. the first 10 books I have probably read over 30 times minimum. and the first three books probably closer to 50 times minimum. the whole series that I've read so far has been amazing. you are never bored with any of these books. every book I couldn't put down. and had to keep reading, I would go days without sleeping just so that I could read the whole book in one day which ended up being more like 3 days with no sleep. keep up the amazing work.
