This story will stick with you for sometime after reading. It is an emotional, steamy, and heartfelt read. The author grabs your attention from the beginning and keeps your attention to the end. Lincoln and Daisy are both going through some difficult struggles in their life and the reader could feel their emotions. Boy, could you ever feel their emotions. I think this is why the story stays with you. Just thinking about this story I start to feel some of the emotions that Lincoln and Daisy went through. This was a powerful story of trust and learning to love again! "Someone Like You" by Lauren Layne is book number three in the "Oxford" series. This is Manhattan's ultimate playboy, Lincoln Mathis and Daisy Sinclair's story. Lincoln has a reputation for being a playboy and doesn't do anything to hide it. He has secrets from his past that his closest friends don't know. At his best friends wedding he meets the bride's twin sister, Daisy. Lincoln is attracted to her but she is off limits to him in more ways than you think. When Daisy meets Lincoln she sees this good looking and sweet talking playboy. After going through a terrible divorce Lincoln is the type guy that she needs to avoid. As the story progresses Daisy finds out about Lincoln's secret. She realizes that there is more to Lincoln than what he portrays to his friends. But Lincoln is not the only one with secrets from the past. Lincoln's character was amazing. Daisy and Lincoln are perfect for one another. Will they be able to love again? A fun and steamy read that really tugs at your heart. This is a ride you do not want to miss! FYI, includes mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This book did NOT disappoint!! Lincoln!! OMG Lincoln!! what a story!! 5 darn near perfection stars Lauren Layne is my number one author. She is my go to girl when I need to read a good book. You know, when you are in a rut and want a GOOD book??? Lauren is it for me. She is my spirit animal. My soulmate. My fav. She is it for me. Someone Like You had me giddy and wiggling all around when I read it. When I was reading the book, Adele was playing in my head. I was signing her version of "Someone Like You" and thinking, this book is as good as the song! I feel in love with Lincoln the second the book started. Swoon!! He is my everything wrapped in one. He is sensitive and sweet and handsome and sarcastic all rolled into one ! Then there is Daisy. I can't not think of one bad thing to say. She was awesome in her own rite. When you put them together, you have something special. Alone, they are good, together they are better. See, each of them has their own past (but don't we all) and when they become friends, they complete each other. Friends turned lovers is one of my favorite type of reads. So this one was a win for me!! I love everything about this book. 5 amazing starts from me!!

Someone Like You is by far the best book in this series. I love Lauren Layne’s books and this series is one of my favorites. If you are like me and have been invested in this series from the beginning, then you will understand when I say that I have been not so patiently awaiting Lincoln’s book. Lincoln is known as the ladies’ man, a manwhore who runs through woman like underwear. He is charming, funny, and of course drop dead gorgeous. But behind the perfect personality and devastating good looks hides a man who is emotionally broken. He hides behind this persona he had made and no one knows the true pain he feels, not even his good friends. However, when he meets Daisy he can see and equally broken soul and the longer these two talk the more he feels like he has found someone who truly understands the real him. Daisy is the perfect match for Lincoln. She is funny, outspoken and will not take crap from anyone. However, like Lincoln, few really know the true Daisy and what secrets her past really holds. Someone Like You Teaser 2When their new friendship starts heading towards more these two must decide if they can take a chance on each other and open their hearts to love again. This story was a beautiful and emotional journey through pain and healing. I laughed and I cried but I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Ms. Layne nailed this book and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good romance. I received an eARC of this book compliments of the publisher in exchange for my honest review and opinion. All ratings and opinions stated are my own.
