Love a good historical romance. There are a lot of unexpected twists and turns in the story. The road to romance is not always easy as our lead characters find out. Great characters to follow on this journey. Good read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I adored Bertha and Annabelle. Clara was one stubborn southern beauty she had suffered so much lost in such a short time and then faced with an unexpected and different life. Roger was just trying to do what was right but he had some history that held him back. These two characters went round and round I love how the author wrote their interactions. It was a very good story and it was easy to get lost in its pages.
