I was given this book as a gift from my daughter when I was ill. It is a lovely story, well written, but it took me some time to read it through. Being an actor on the Abbey Dublin Stage (1967 - 71) before I came to Australia was an incentive to read this, as I know a lot about back stage and on stage moments. This story did encourage me to get to reading again and I would recommend it to those who like nice rather than 'gushy' or over-sensualized stories.
