About the author
Georg Büchner (1813-1837) war ein deutscher Schriftsteller, Arzt, Naturwissenschaftler und Oppositioneller, der als einer der wichtigsten Vertreter des literarischen Vormärz gilt. Während seines Medizinstudiums in Straßburg setze er sich vermehrt für politische Freiheiten ein. Seine bekanntesten Werke sind "Woyzeck", "Lenz" und "Leonce und Lena". Er starb mit nur 23 Jahren in Zürich.
