Bleacke Shifters, Book 4. The past collides with the present, and nothing will ever be the same. SPOILER ALERT: THIS SERIES SHOULD DEFINITELY BE READ IN ORDER. THE BACKSTORY OF ALL THE CHARACTERS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. IF YOU HAVEN’T DONE SO, THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS. Dewi’s still trying to get over the shock of Duncan’s reappearance. Duncan’s navigation of this whole new world drives him, and everyone around him, absolutely nuts. As if that wasn’t enough, surprise after surprise now fills the lives of the entire Targhee Pack. None of them could have seen any of this coming. Seems the Pack’s about to expand, in more ways than one. Nami’s pregnant…again. Another surprise, this time from overseas, brings hatred and retribution no one knew existed. Dewi, Ken, Badger, even Duncan are thrown for a loop. Pack loyalty’s involved, and that’s sacred. As if that wasn’t enough, another trip to Idaho’s required. Unknown to anyone, vowed vengeance returns for promised retribution. As the Targhee Pack’s targeted from multiple sides, can Dewi and the rest find all their enemies in time? If even one gets through, the potential damage could destroy every member of the Pack. As their enemies get ever closer, twists and turns no one could have seen show the answer may have always been right in front of them. Is there a way out? Or will the Targhee Pack be taken down forever? I love paranormal/shifter books, and this series is one of the very best I’ve ever read. I’ve been waiting for this book for a long time, and it’s everything I wanted and more. I had to go back and reread the ending of Bleacke Wind (book 3) to refresh my memory a bit. But this is just as packed with adventure, magic, mystery, emotion, twists, and turns as the other Bleacke Shifter books. It’s really hard for me to pick a favorite character from this book. I’ve always had a special place in my heart for Ken. He’s always drawn me with his response to the Pack, the way he tries to fit into a world he never knew before Dewi. Dewi’s also always fascinated me. She’s so over-the-top, always in control, a Pack Alpha, unusual in every way. Nothing rattles her…except humans. When she’s forced to deal with them, she’s so out of her element. But this time, it’s Duncan that made me howl with laughter (pun intended) and cry genuine tears of loss and pain. The way he deals with the modern world and learns technology (especially Facebook) is absolutely hilarious. Dealing the loss of his past is heartbreaking and frustrating in the extreme. When you add Badger, Beck, Nami. Joaquin, Malyah, Trevor, Tamsin, and the rest, it’s comical, terrifying, gruesome, warm, loving, and full of every emotion you can imagine. Lesli Richardson writes every genre you can image, and this series shows just why she’s one of the best authors around. Congratulations, Ms. Richardson, on another fantastic book in an outstanding series. A final note. This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don't enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and all booksellers' websites. Use these resources. DON'T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON'T ENJOY THE BOOK. It's not fair to the author. She works hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you'll object to a book's subject matter before you buy it, you're doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice. Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!
