An old colleague of Merry's is in town on vacation. Hilly is a quirky assassin, and while Merry is convinced she's really on vacation, others are not so sure. Especially when a dead body ends up in Merry's backyard. Merry, naturally, tries to figure out how this happened. Love a new Merry story! This one made me laugh a lot - especially the CIA rules regarding assassins, and the girls' antics - and was such fun to read.

I really enjoy this series, but am disappointed with this one. A lot of unanswered questions (who was in the mask, how did they know the house to retrieve the 'pets', etc.) The solution was vague also, with no concrete evidence. Still has great characters and humorous situations though. Hopefully the next one will be better like all the others have been.

Make Believe Murder is another great adventure with Merry Wrath and her girl scouts. This book gives a bit more background with another assassin from Merry's past. I really enjoyed Hilly! Betty and her crew continue to show great promise as future spies. They have a huge role in this book. I laugh so much while reading this series. This is just another, enjoyable book in the zany life of Merry Wrath.
