This really needs another 1/2 star but there was no way to give it a 3.5. The plot was good but I just had the feeling the author didn't have the skills to bring it to life. She TOLD me what the characters were feeling but didn't make me FEEL them. She DESCRIBED the events happening but I didn't EXPERIENCE them. it was very frustrating because I kept sensing something was going to happen that would push me through the window between me and the action and plunge me into the depths of the story, but nothing never came. Since this is the first Lexi Banks book I have read, I don't know if the writer simply has inadequate skills or simply didn't jell with this particular plotline. In either event my takeaway is that I thought the writer was creative in conception but lacked the fluency with the Standards of American English to bring it off.

Just great, loved the story on how it all began. And how it played out with a few twists and turns along the way

Felt it was very awkward. Ethan is 31, but they act or come across as teenagers. I felt like I was reading a romance that a very young person wrote..one with little experience. I couldn't finish it.
