3.75⭐ You Were Always Mine is the second Kincaid Sisters story. But it can easily be read as a stand-alone even though it does feature strongly characters from Ms Buchanan's Bad Boy Rockers series. But honestly, you don't need to have read them to get this story. As it's pretty much a story about two people who have been in love with each other for six years, but have never acted on that feeling for various reasons, including an eight-year age gap, an interfering brother, and the fact one of them is secretly married. Yet, the story was engaging and fast-paced, and for the most part enjoyable to read. The only thing really for me, was all the dubious circumstances that kept them apart, and my feelings for the ex who, although, comes across as a horrid person, I couldn't help in some ways feel sorry for. Yet, saying all this I do like these characters and I always enjoy reading about them. But I do wish as far as these later stories go, there was a bit more substance to them. Still, it was a satisfying story overall.
