About this ebook

This woman thinks she knows best. The problem is, she doesn’t know me.

I finally get to meet my first K-9 partner. Unfortunately, he’s packing a surprise.

A beautiful trainer who enjoys making my life hell.

The fact that she’s smart and keeps my heart racing is no good. I need to focus.

A huge drug bust later, she’s forced her way onto the case, and now we’re working side by side.

You just can’t make these things up.

The heat between us is growing to unbearable amounts, and I’m feeling like a hound dog for wanting to take advantage of anything she might offer me.

After a few wrong turns, we end up giving into each other.

It’s all good until I find out she’s been keeping a secret from me.

A baby.

I’m not sure how I feel until a drug runner comes for her.

There’s nothing I wouldn’t do to bring her home. Integrity or not, this girl is worth any price I have to pay.

Romantic suspense with a sprinkle of cozy mystery thrown in Farrah, a K-9 trainer, is unsure whether Kurt, a new transfer to the K-9 unit, is the right officer for the newest K-9 for the city of Portland. As the story progresses a difference of opinions drives them crazy, a new case dives them together, and the sparks that fly from the clash of their personalities is not the hottest fire they may end up dealing with. Lexy Parker springs into action from the first page. This author has combined romantic suspense with a sprinkle of cozy mystery thrown in. I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

Kurt and Farrah’s story had me on the edge of my seat with all of the thrilling suspense and drama surrounding them not to mention the sparks igniting when they are together. She is a capable woman who is serious about her career and appreciation for dogs something they both have in common. When she strong arms her way onto a case he is working on Kurt has a hard time with taming his feelings for her and when the Cartel comes for her all bets are off when it comes to Farrah’s safety. I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.

Wonderful start to a new series. Farrah went from police cadet to K-9 officer to training officer. Her mother left when she was two and she was raised by an alcoholic father. She has taken care of herself from a young age and never had anyone she could depend on. Kurt moved from California to Portland to become a K-9 officer. He had been a cop for five years. Raised by a single mother who worked two jobs. His new K-9 partner Barker discovers a junkie with a bag full of cocaine in the park. You get action, danger, betrayal, drugs, a crooked politician and an amazing HEA ending. I was drawn into the storyline, turning the pages trying to figure out what would happen next. I voluntarily submitted this book review.
