About this ebook

First, no coffee. Then a dead guy. This is one killer vacation.

I thought being forced into a Mother's Day trip with my entire family on the Oregon Coast was bad. Then came the dead bodies.

Turns out Mom's cozy vacation spot kept its high murder count a secret.

So I'm stuck in a death trap. Either I can play detective for a few days or follow Mom's perfect schedule. Detective it is. But is my vacation long enough to solve a couple years' worth of crimes?

Five days. Six murders.

No pressure.

Holt Jacobs isn't for everyone. He's a sarcastic introvert who can never get quite enough coffee. Becoming a sarcastic sleuth was unexpected, but as an engineer, Holt is used to solving puzzles.

Great book, just the right amount of humour and mystery. Reminds me of my family but without the murders (so far!). A nice easy read.

reading from a male perspective about a family bonding vacation and various murders occurring in the vacation town he doesn't want to be at is definitely different

About the author

Lily Stirling has spent a quarter of a century living in the Pacific Northwest. She was born in Idaho, but her family moved to Washington around the time Lily could read chapter books.

Mysteries have always delighted her, from listening to The Hardy Boys on car trips to watching episodes of Psych.

As for sarcastic families, when she's not writing about one, she's living in one.

Mysteries are seldom fun to experience, but always fun to read or watch.
