Duncan's Bride

A contemporary mail-order bride story. Reese was deeply hurt and very distrustful of city women. Madelyn wanted a change and was willing to work hard for it. I loved Madelyn's tenacity when it came to proving she was worth it. Reese was blind and very set in his pain, and almost lost the best thing that happened to him. I enjoyed the family interactions and this story. Narration by Lesa Lockford was well done. She brought all the characters to life with humor and more.

I first read this book many many years ago, it was one of the romance novels I had ever read and i thought about it many times over the years wanting to re read it but couldn't remember the author or name, only the storyline and Maddie's name.i finally found it last night (thank you Google) and stayed up reading it. I will re read it again soon also. it's one of those stories you that you think about after your done, what happened after the book ended? what is their life like after the story ends? I love the intensity and passion between these two characters from the beginning. I love how Maddie doesn't let Duncan push her away or bully her for someone else's past mistakes,and I love how Maddie proves to Duncan someone can love him for himself and not that he has or they want from him. this book has many favorite "moments" for me and you will surely love it as much as I do

One of my favourite books, have read it soo many times. First time I read it in Latvian, then I got the original one. So glad it's available on PlayStore now.
