About this ebook

USA Today Bestselling Author Lisa Hughey has a new series! What do you do when you’re the victim of a crime but no one believes you? Adams-Larsen Inc and Associates, ALIAS, helps ordinary citizens in danger when they need to disappear.

Stalked: Opposites attract, unfortunately.

Rule follower, Federal US Deputy Marshal Alex Saunders has been assigned to protect a federal judge after the judge receives death threats. This detail is standard until the judge insists on his son’s PR firm provide backup security, which isn’t even in the rule book. But because Alex is already in hot water, he follows orders to keep the judge happy.

Rule breaker, and former CIA analyst, Kita Ferguson reluctantly agrees to go undercover, posing as the judge’s aide slash girlfriend, but in return she expects her boss at ALIAS to help her protect an abused woman and her nieces even though technically keeping the children from their father is against the law.

From the very start, Alex and Kita disagree about everything. But their sizzling attraction continues to grow as the threats against the judge escalate and put them all in danger. Can these two opposites find enough common ground outside the bedroom, or will their diverse philosophies result in disaster?

This is a brand new series featuring Adams-Larsen Inc and Associates (ALIAS). On the top, ALIAS is billed as an exclusive PR firm ... but privately it's a relocation specialist agency. They don't exactly break the law, but skate on the edge of legality. Sort of a WItness Protection operation for your common everyday folks. A federal judge has received death threats in the mail. Federal US Deputy Marshal Alex Saunders is given the responsibility of protection. However, the judge is insisting on back-up security from ALIAS. Alex is not happy at all, especially when the judge requests a woman. Kita Kim, former CIA Analyst, agrees to go undercover as the judge's aide. Kita and Alex are throwing sparks off each other almost the moment they meet. However, this looks more like a love/hate relationship. Alex is a by-the-book, play-by-rules sort of man. Kita is a rule-breaker whenever necessary. The two of them disagree on everything.... almost everything. There is that crazy attraction that keeps growing. But will their 'wants' interfere with the 'need' of protecting the judge? SInce the judge has wined and dined and bedded almost every woman in Washington, the number of suspects is considerable. Which of them has the most to gain with the judge's death? This is a well-written Romantic Suspense. Looks like a very good start to a new series. Alex and Kita both have issues resulting from things that happened when they were very young. How they got past those issues to be together professionally and personally was handled believably. Being a romantic expense, the reader has come to realize that there will most always be at least one very explicit intimate interlude. This book is no different. I would like to thank the author and Netgalley for an advance copy of Stalked. All opinions expressed are my own.

LOVED! Another winner by a very talented author. This novel introduces us to a new series that grabbed my from the very first page. A DC public relations firm is a front for a company that performs much more clandestine activities and employs Kita, who we meet while she is desperately trying to teach a woman self defense. She is abruptly pulled from that lesson to learn that she has to help protect a federal judge. As a former CIA analyst, Kita thinks rules are only suggestions and not to be complied with. Her partner, US Marshall Alex lives his world structured entirely by rules. This makes for entertaining encounters and sparks that you have feel sizzling off the page. The author has crafted a tightly woven mystery with just enough romance to be a great novel that fans of either genre will love. She is on my must read authors' list and should probably be on yours. I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series.

About the author

USA Today Bestselling Author Lisa Hughey has been writing romance since the fourth grade, which was also about the time she began her love affair with spies. Harriet and Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys later gave way to James Bond and Lara Croft and Jason Bourne. Exploring the complex nature of a profession that requires subterfuge and lies fascinates her. She loves combining her two passions into fiction, as evidenced by her Black Cipher Files series.

She was immersed in the Stone Family novellas, stories about a blended family of brothers and a sister who have a lot more in common than they realize. But of course she couldn't just write about family and romance. There are complex plots, bad guys, and suspense too.

Taking a break from romantic suspense, Lisa entered the paranormal world of the Angelic Realm. The Seven deals with forbidden relationships between humans and Archangels. At its heart, Rafe is a novel about the dynamic of family relationships. As this series evolves, the core story continues to be about love triumphing in the face of opposition and heartache. (The really hot Archangels don't hurt.)

Her latest project is the Nostradamus Prophecies, intertwined stories about a paranormal band of brothers, former military men who were born with extra talents, and the psychic women who love them. The CIA operatives enter a twisted world of prophetic verses to fight against an evil network of criminals intent on mortal harm.

Lisa loves to hear from readers and has various places you can connect with her, although, shh, Facebook is her new favorite.
