Later in the evening, Jason stepped by Sam’s apartment with plenty of beer and a broad grin. He let his eyes run all over Sam’s body as if he remembered what Sam looked like naked, but Jason didn’t mention anything about the last time they met. Instead, they spent a pleasant evening eating takeaway and watching a movie together. Just like good buddies would do.

Sam realised Jason was more likeable than Sam had thought from their previous encounter. Maybe this encounter would suit more than one purpose, Sam thought. But first, he wanted to get even. After that, they could become friends if Jason was still interested.

Jason placed his arm over the top of the couch. Sam felt his fingers curl against his hair from time, wondering if Jason wanted something more than just friendship. Still, Sam wasn’t surprised when the other man kept his distance. Jason was probably too scared to admit he wanted more. Too nervous to ask for it.
