Sobre este e-book

Little Goose's Autumn is a second stunning story from an exciting picture book pairing and the uplifting tale of a lively young goose finding her place in the world.

As summer fades to autumn, a lively young goose feels a change in the air and senses she has something important to do – but what? The beavers are chopping wood, the squirrels are storing nuts in the ground and the bears are busy building a den. The plucky little goose tries to join in, but without great success. She realizes her wings weren't built for chopping wood, or burying food, or building a den, but they were built for something magnificent – they were built for flight . . .

A beautiful, lyrical and hopeful story about finding your wings and your place in the world. Written by star picture book author, Elli Woollard with wonderful illustrations by rising talent, Briony May Smith, whose artwork brings an autumnal landscape of mountains and forests to life with truly breathtaking beauty.

Sobre o autor

Elli Woollard turned to writing after an embarrassing incident in which her youngest son broke Michael Rosen’s glasses. She is now the author of several books, including The Giant of Jum, The Dragon and the Nibblesome Knight, The Great Gran Plan, Dinosaurs Don't Draw, The Adventures of Swashbuckle Lil and a rhyming re-told edition of Rudyard Kipling’s Just So Stories. After spending many years in Thailand, where she missed the changing seasons, she now lives back in London with her four children, her husband and a mad cat. In spring she loves to go to one of the big London parks, where she runs through the daffodils and watches the ducklings and goslings on the lake.

Briony May Smith grew up in Sandhurst in Berkshire, playing in the garden with her younger brother and sister. She studied Illustration at Falmouth University and was Highly Commended for the Macmillan Children’s book prize in 2013 and 2014. She now lives in Devon, where her work day mainly consists of drawing fairies, interrupted only when her dog, Finbar, demands his walk. Briony’s work is inspired by fairy tales and folklore and life in the country.
