Slightly spicy, rom-com set in the exciting world of Horse Racing! I know absolutely nothing about horse racing, alcohol, or the South in general but I can wholeheartedly state I loved this book! Nate and Lucy are former friends turned enemies. Nate stuck his foot in his mouth, shall we say, and he has been paying for it ever since. Lucy only returns home once a year and this time he's determined to make his peace with her and see if he can repair their former friendship. Nate and his brother, Harrison, may have taken the world of Bourbon by storm with their innovations but Lucy may just be a tougher nut to crack. Sweet, smexy and a lil bit spicy! I'm not much of a fashion lover or alcohol drinker so I'd really have preferred less of that and more about the horse racing world but other than that I really enjoyed the story. I know that even here in the UK the big races are always very fashion-forward with Ladies Day at Ascot, etc, but as a bigger girl I've just never got the fashion bug. Would have no qualms about reading another book from this author.
