About this ebook

The teen detective duo return to solve another mystery in the sequel to New York Times bestseller, The Agathas by Kathleen Glasgow and Liz Lawson

'Very gripping... very enjoyable.' United By Pop

Last year was eventful, to say the least. Alice and Iris were the talk of the town after they teamed up to solve the murder of Brooke Donovan. If it wasn’t for this unlikely duo, the wrong person would almost certainly be sitting in prison. The Castle Cove police aren’t exactly great at solving crimes.

Now Alice is impatient for a new case. And as fate would have it, on the night of the annual dance at Levy Castle she walks right into a crime scene. Rebecca Kennedy, on the ground, in a pool of blood. And standing over Kennedy? One of Alice’s ex–friends – Helen Park. Of course, the police are sure it’s an open-and-shut case.

But Castle Cove is full of secrets, and Alice and Iris are about to uncover one of its biggest – and most dangerous – secrets of all.

Praise for The Agathas:

‘Part Agatha Christie, part Veronica Mars, and completely entertaining.’
Karen M. McManus, author of One Of Us Is Lying

‘Full of twists, mysteries and so much heart.’
Erin A. Craig, author of House of Salt and Sorrows

It is a sequel to The Agathas that seamlessly melds the classic allure of Agatha Christie with the modern-day enthusiasm of two teenage Sherlock. The story follows Alice and Iris as they embark on a dangerous journey to uncover a long-age murder mystery haunting their small town. The authors did a wonderful job of keeping readers on the edge of their seats with twists and turns that you would not see coming. Alice and Iris were so different from each other yet their passion for solving mysteries worked as a bridge to seal their bond. I loved reading their banters and arguments regarding the case and how the tension throughout the book resulted in a good climax. I wanted to see a much deeper layer of friendship or a relationship 🤭 between them which I hope will come in a next installment. One of the story's strengths lies in its ability to capture the essence of Agatha Christie's storytelling while integrating a distinctive voice that resonates with today's YA readers. So it's a must read for light mystery or YA thriller lovers out there.
