About this eBook

New York Times bestselling author Karen Hawkins returns to Glory, North Carolina, for a story of tension and romance between a relentless reporter chasing a story and the newspaper's sexy CFO.

Susan Collins always wanted to be a hard-hitting reporter, but there’s not much call for her talents in sleepy Glory, North Carolina. Then the Murder Mystery Club—a trio of enterprising octogenarians—decides to open their own CSI lab at the assisted-living center. And when strange "accidents" begin to happen around town, Susan senses she could be on to the news story of her dreams.

Mark Tremayne has returned to Glory to take over as CFO of The Glory Examiner. His job is to keep the newspaper profitable, which means covering the annual Baptist Church Bake-Off and selling ads for the county fair—not allowing his too-sexy-for-her-own-good reporter to hare off after a wild story that could alienate some of the townspeople.

Mark’s and Susan’s viewpoints could be from different planets, but their mutual attraction is in total alignment. Despite their arguments, the indomitable redhead and the hot accountant are a sexual explosion waiting to happen. And when it does, Glory had better watch out!

Susan Collins has an explosive attraction to her temporary boss, Mark Tremayne. Mark has returned to the small town of Glory, North Carolina in hopes of making The Glory Examiner profitable again. Susan and Mark’s attraction is mutual and irresistible, but Mark will not be staying in Glory permanently and he is her boss! When the town’s Murder Mystery Club, a group of extremely bored assisted-living center residents, starts investigating strange “accidents” around town, Mark and Susan’s resistance breaks down. While Susan investigates the annual Baptist Church Bake Off, Mark discovers more and more about this charming and crazy woman and the town she loves. The question is, will he be able to love it too? "Lois Lane Tells All" is an exquisite novel of humor and romance, combining the charms of small town life with everyday people and believable occurrences. Susan, who has always had a thing for Clark Kent, is looking for her own real-life Superman. Mark quickly discovers Susan is much like Lois Lane and together their steamy scenes are kryptonite. The novel is full of charming characters that made me laugh on numerous occasions. Both Susan and Mark have a past that could hinder their future together if neither is willing to change. The light suspense throughout the book was great! I wondered multiple times what was really going on. Overall, this book was highly enjoyable and I am now a fan of Karen Hawkins! I will not hesitate before reading another one of her books. My initial fears about this novel being too Superman-filled for me were quickly distinguished. The author used Susan’s love for all things Superman at the perfect dosage for the story. I was instantly captivated and didn’t want to put the book down. I loved that I could feel the heat and desire between the characters in-between steamy scenes. The book has a very realistic feel to it. "Lois Lane Tells All" was a pleasure to read and is definitely in my “re-read” pile.
