I write romances, mysteries, romantic suspense and books for children and young adults. My titles include two contemporary romance series, Morgan’s Run (set in the U.S. southwest) and the spin-off series, Morgan’s Fire (set here in New England coast) as well as the Ricky Steele Mysteries, Roger and Bess Mysteries, and a number of stand-alone books in various genres including Song of the Spirit, a finalist in the 2014 International Digital Awards for Historical Fiction for Young Adults.
I am in phased retirement from my “day job” is as professor of education (literacy, ELA, etc.). For many years, my scholarly work focused on the social contexts within which children learn and I have three professional books related to that work. For the past two decades I’ve been exploring the impact of mindfulness on readers and writers, work that has brought me tremendous joy and satisfaction as well as a deeper insight into the writing process. I am blessed to live on a beautiful river. When not teaching or writing, my passions revolve around family, yoga, swimming, walking, canoeing, and teaching mindfulness to people of all ages.
