About this eBook

A couple reunited after a one night stand pretend to be engaged—until a baby on the way has them contemplating a very real marriage.

“I didn’t expect to see you here, gorgeous.”

“That makes two of us.”

Penelope Brand is about to make a PR comeback when she hears that Texas drawl—the one from her delicious night with “just Zach.” The drawl she now knows belongs to Dallas oil baron Zach Ferguson, her client’s brother! She won’t risk all she’s rebuilt for a stubborn man with a dimple . . . but then he announces to everyone that she’s his fiancé!

Zach only did it to avoid a scene, and he doesn’t regret it. Because Penelope is by his side and in his bed . . . and pregnant?! Now, if he has to buy the whole state to keep his baby—and Penelope—he will. The only thing he’ll never do is give up his heart . . .

I enjoyed this Harlequin Desire by Jessica Lemmon. I got sucked into Zach and Penelope's story. With Penelope's past she steers clear from relationships, but she soon finds herself in one even though it's fake. It soon gets all too real, but how can Penelope take the risk once again? I liked Zach. What really got to me was how he protective he was with Penelope. His concern for her won me over, but he also has a hard time risking his heart once again. The book had a good flow that had me gobbling up the pages.

If love makes things happen, denial must get the ball rolling. When it comes to matters of the heart Zach and Penelope are the worst of liars. If actions speak louder than words, why aren't they listening? Lone Star Lovers is an amusing reintroduction to a couple of old friends. Fire has begun to melt the ice, but the real complications have yet to begin. The true gift of an author is to take you out of the real world and entangled you in you imagination. Jessica Lemmon has that gift. Saucy and sweet.
