We get two stories in this book, Tierney and Renner, and Abe and Janey. Both are unique in their challenges, both end up with their HEA Abe and Janey are the secondary story to me. They married way too young, and broke up 8 years ago. The pressures of life did them in before, but the feelings are still there. Now that they are in the same town, Abe has made up his mind he wants his wife back. An outside occurrence gives him an in, but those forces may still be there. Janey has always internalized her feelings, she has to learn, and trust, to turn them over to Abe for things to work this time around Renner and Tierney is a true enemies to lovers fairy tale. Renner thinks Tierney is there as her father's spy to keep an eye on the investment. Tierney can't understand why the man she is attracted to treats her with such disdain without getting to know her. There are explosive in the office, and in the bedroom. There coming together is touching, sweet, fiery, and emotional Two cowboys and the women they love, both different, but both with that stalwart heart we expected!
