I have become a huge fan of this talented author , and this box set is perfect both for her new as well as long time readers. Here are some reviews of the books in this set. THE NEIGHBOR Whenever I listen and/or read a story by this author, I know I will be captivated by it . This first book in this new series, did just that. This first story centers around Ryan O’Connell, one of six siblings and a park ranger. His new neighbor is Jenny Sweetgrass. Jenny, a widow, and her teenage daughter are now in Montana hoping to start over. Ryan is attracted to Jenny, but he suspects the ladies are keeping secrets. When Allison goes missing and Ryan decides to help Jenny, he has no idea that life as he knew it, would never be the same. This engaging story is about family, hope and second chances , with some mystery thrown in. HIS PROMISE In HIS PROMISE, we are introduced to Kim and Bruce. This young couple was madly in love and when Bruce goes away to college with the intent of becoming a doctor, she promises to wait for him. But misunderstandings, family intervention and lack of communication keeps them apart. Disillusioned, Kim marries a man she doesn’t love . A marriage that didn’t last. Twenty years later, Bruce is back in town, now a nationally acclaimed pediatrician. When they meet again, they realize the sparks are still there but so are the hurt feelings. Will they get a second chance at love, or will the past continue to interfere? THRILL OF THE CHASE This story begins the series of The Parker Sisters. Sisters that are very much sheltered by their parents , especially after the oldest one left years ago with a cowboy. This one belongs to Taz, an EMT that while on another call, she and her co-worker, come across an accident. There she finds Jerry O’Rourke , an out of towner , who had stopped to help. The chemistry between them is immediate. They moved at the speed of lightening, and they have bumpy moments, but remember, this is fiction and anything can happen! DON’T STOP ME The beginning of this series starts with a story that grabs your attention from the start. Vic McCabe , now a successful owner of a contracting company is approached by a reporter that is digging into his past. A past from a youth that was less than stellar but also not what it seemed. His first thoughts is that he needs to find and protect the girlfriend who 15 years ago had suffered the most and who disappeared . Little does he know that she has created a new identity and has kept many secrets. It’s a story about redemption, forgiveness and new beginnings. The plot in engaging , and the characters complex . A series that promises to be a winner. ONE NIGHT This story centers around Kate Sikes and Detective Walker. Kate, a single professional woman, has been doing some online dating . Each date going from bad to worse. When the latest one almost gets her killed, she meets Detective Walker Pruett who comes to her rescue. The story is at times funny, with some suspense and whodunit, and sexy. There was some questionable work ethics on Walker’s part. I have to confess that this one was quite different than other stories I have read/listened by this author and one I would not have guessed was written by her.
