Louis Theroux is an award-winning journalist and documentary film-maker whose programmes are shown all over the world. His 30-year career has seen him spend time with inmates at San Quentin prison and Miami Jail, gamble with the high-rollers at a Las Vegas mega-casino, get to know dementia patients and their families in Phoenix, Arizona and grapple with the latest incarnation of the American far right as they spread hatred online. His feature-length documentary, My Scientology Movie, was released in 2016. He has been awarded three BAFTAs and a Royal Television Society Television Award for his work. He set up independent production company Mindhouse in 2019 alongside filmmakers Arron Fellows and Nancy Strang and in 2020 he created an award-winning hit podcast called Grounded which featured interviews with Michaela Coel, Helena Bonham Carter, and Oliver Stone among many others. His autobiography, Gotta Get Theroux This, was a Sunday Times bestseller. Theroux the Keyhole is his third book.
