Love Lamentations uses a non-linear structure, weaving together various episodes to illustrate how happenstance and personal failure color one’s conception of the universe. Ajay’s journey is one of introspection and self-discovery, as he gradually learns to accept and then embrace his destiny. The novel explores themes of identity, cultural dislocation, and alienation.
