About this ebook

An Instant New York Times Bestseller

A #1 LibraryReads and Indie Next Pick!

From the New York Times bestselling author of The Love Hypothesis comes a new STEMinist rom-com in which a scientist is forced to work on a project with her nemesis—with explosive results.

Like an avenging, purple-haired Jedi bringing balance to the mansplained universe, Bee Königswasser lives by a simple code: What would Marie Curie do? If NASA offered her the lead on a neuroengineering project—a literal dream come true after years scraping by on the crumbs of academia—Marie would accept without hesitation. Duh. But the mother of modern physics never had to co-lead with Levi Ward.

Sure, Levi is attractive in a tall, dark, and piercing-eyes kind of way. And sure, he caught her in his powerfully corded arms like a romance novel hero when she accidentally damseled in distress on her first day in the lab. But Levi made his feelings toward Bee very clear in grad school—archenemies work best employed in their own galaxies far, far away.

Now, her equipment is missing, the staff is ignoring her, and Bee finds her floundering career in somewhat of a pickle. Perhaps it’s her occipital cortex playing tricks on her, but Bee could swear she can see Levi softening into an ally, backing her plays, seconding her ideas…devouring her with those eyes. And the possibilities have all her neurons firing. But when it comes time to actually make a move and put her heart on the line, there’s only one question that matters: What will Bee Königswasser do?

I love Ali men first of all, that goes without saying!! At some point (probably because I started this at 11pm one night) I was feeling that this was longer than her previous works (which it is) but as I was reaching the climax and the end all I kept thinking was "this cannot be it, I'm not ready for this to be over". Also, there is no sneak-peek for a next book if anyone was wondering (I know I was). Bee and Levi are amazing, love then so much, could definitely read about them having twins, would totally love to actually. Anyways, i had a great time reading twist. Oh and that plot twist!!!!! I mean I had a feeling but I didn't think it was gonna go the way it did and just woah!!!

Oh sweet sweet summer child 😄 I love these two.Love Bee’s sense of humor. Her overall obsession with Curie is a bit much but hey this is fiction!Anyway they’re adorably funny smart and beautiful together.Although my reservation is for the constant same-pattern of sidekicks in all of Ali’s novels. Reservation:so Tim is the filthiest of scumbags for cheating on Bee but for Roció it’s ok because Alex conveniently “doesn’t care”!! I understand inclusion but promoting messages such as Polygamy! NOPE

This is the second book I've read by this author. Like the first, it's surprisingly hilarious for a romance novel. She includes lots of giggle inducing t-shirt-able quotes. The only slightly off putting aspect of her writing that I've noticed so far (again, only read 2 books so Idk) is that the villians are dramatically MEGA villians. But this doesn't detract from the great stories. I try to view the villians as representative caricatures of unfortunately very real types of people. Anywho, I definitely recommend, especially if you enjoy romance stories *spoiler* where the mc does NOT get pregnant at the end. I hate books like that. There's a LOT of them. Ruins my appetite and the sexiness of the story, for me personally. I'm definitely going to read more from this author.

About the author

Ali Hazelwood is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Love, Theoretically and The Love Hypothesis, as well as a writer of peer-reviewed articles about brain science, in which no one makes out and the ever after is not always happy. Originally from Italy, she lived in Germany and Japan before moving to the US to pursue a PhD in neuroscience. When Ali is not at work, she can be found running, eating cake pops, or watching sci-fi movies with her three feline overlords (and her slightly-less-feline husband).
