About this eBook

If Penny Brighton didn't have bad luck, she'd have no luck at all. She lost her job. And her apartment. In the same day. But it's okay, her friend has a cozy storage unit she can crash in. And there's bound to be career opportunities at the neighborhood laundromat—just look how fast that 12-year-old who runs the place made it to management! Plus, there's this sweet guy at the community center, and maybe Penny can even have a conversation with him without being a total dork. Surely Penny is a capable of becoming an actual responsible adult, and if she can do that her luck’s bound to change! Right?

Real rating: 3.5 stars Interesting read with some inspiration from Scott Pilgrim(in a good way; the author tells us an original story.) I love the artwork and the way the artist used the black and white format to get his ideas across. My only criticism is I think it's too short, there was more story to tell and parts of the story could be fleshed out more. Some parts were paced too quickly and I had trouble understanding what was going on. I personally could see this being 2, maybe 3 volumes.

SO amazing!! I've always hoped for a protagonist like Penny, an absolute gremlin dork with all kinds of charm! The story is fun, enjoyable, even pretty gripping near the end! I only wish there was more of Penny annoying Helen lol. Lucky Penny is super fun, and I would adore to see more of her!

I nearly cried because I relate so hard to Penny, we are like the same unlucky romance obsessed dorky girl who is not in the best part of her life but damn it we will both get there! (I am forcing my man-boy-friend to read this as soon as I get my real copy! )
