About the author
Ludwig von Mises (Lemberg 1881 – New York 1973), economista austriaco naturalizzato statunitense, è stato un esponente di spicco della terza generazione della scuola austriaca. Ha insegnato all’Università di Vienna e a Ginevra. Ha avuto tra i suoi allievi F. von Hayek e F. Machlup. Per sfuggire al nazismo, è migrato nel 1940 negli Stati Uniti.
