Do not expect on first reading to digest all the concepts presented, and the 12 exercises in chapter Meditation Relaxation Spirit; Suryani’s Method detailed to learn meditation. Rereading with continual study is likely to be necessary.

In mastering spirit-meditation, very few will learn to converse with the spirit directly as do I, or have a brain-trance transformation as happened to me (see Introduction). However, each practitioner of trance-meditation will experience a positive change in mind/brain function a creative and harmonious reward. It gives transformative power to the diligent student. As a consequence, all aspects of life will flourish.

About the author

Professor Luh Ketut Suryani, MD is senior psychiatrist and founder of the Suryani Institute for Mental Health (SIMH). Its concept is biopsychospirit-sociocultural approach as a holistic treatment that involves all elements in society. For over 50 years she has practiced and led meditation. She develops Social Psychiatry by giving mental health lectures in communities, doing clinical preventive work along with community mental health volunteers in the practice of community Liaison Psychiatry in bali.

Doctor Suryani is founder and initiator of preventive works in elderly people through Yayasan Wreda Sejahtera (YWS) bali whose activities cover all districts in bali. She is President of Committee Against Sexual Abuse (CASA) that aims to make people aware of the dangers of pedophiles.
