La dermatite seborroica è una dermatosi infiammatoria molto comune, con una predilezione per le aree ricche di ghiandole sebacee, ad andamento cronico recidivante. Differenti manifestazioni cliniche sono state descritte con il termine di “dermatite seborroica”. Nella forma classica, la malattia è caratterizzata dalla comparsa di chiazze eritematose e desquamanti a limiti mal definiti che presentano ampie variazioni nell’estensione e nella morfologia dipendenti dal distretto cutaneo interessato. Nella fase acuta, la cute può presentarsi arrossata e umida con ridotta desquamazione.
