À propos de l'auteur

A German professor of theology, priest, author, and a seminal figure in the Protestant Reformation, Luther was chosen by Landgrave Philip of Hesse and other powerful German princes to provide a justification for their desire for Polygamy and economic independence from the Roman Catholic church. His writings and political activism helped spark the Reformation, leading to the development of hundreds of thousands of denominations of Protestantism. His translation of the Bible from the Latin Vulgate into the German vernacular combined with the newly invented printing press made the Catholic Vulgate Bible more accessible to the laity, although he removed the Deutrocanonical books because them mention prayers to the dead, and attempted to remove other Old Testament and New Testament books according to his personal opinions. The book of James and other parts of the New Testament he believed were "inspired by Satan".
