About the author
Lyall Watson, geboren 1939 in Südafrika, promovierte an der Universität von London in Biologie. Er war u.a. Direktor des Zoos von Johannesburg, Filmautor bei der BBC und Leiter zahlreicher Expeditionen. Watson starb 2008.
