About this ebook

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bestselling and award-winning author Lydia Michaels weaves a gripping tale of revenge in this one-of-a-kind immortal world that masks centuries of secrets, lust, and violence.

Larissa Hostetler is on the run after an arranged marriage to Silus, her abusive, immortal husband. As Silus hunts for his disobedient wife, he plots her painful atonement. But Bishop King, the most powerful and eldest immortal of The Order, finds Larissa first, and he has plans of his own.

Meanwhile, a deadly vampire is slaughtering mortal women in the woods, drawing unwanted attention from the media. Exposure remains the greatest threat to their species, and the Council is hard-pressed to hunt and destroy the creature before he kills again, but other upheaval is at play while the bishop is away.

Vows will be broken and lives eternally changed as appetites for vengeance grow in this ongoing saga of immortal love, eternal loyalty, and wicked betrayals.

I'm not sure who I want to "enlighten" first Don't you people (some people, some immortal, whatever) ever think before you act?? This is book two in the series. It reads a bit like a running tv show with multiple storylines occurring simultaneously while each episode highlights a specific couples journey It is not a standalone It took me a bit to get engaged (a touch of catching up) but once I did... I read straight through to the end and No I did not peek (yes I am proud of myself) Packed with action and suspense as well as some twists that left me needing answers now! (this is where the peeking problem surfaced) but knowing if I jumped ahead I would miss something of importance and have to backtrack later The back and forth between Bishop and Larissa had me in stitches I was a bit concerned after everything she had already been through But dang if she didn't find her backbone among the English and give Bishop a chase to be logged in the history books Definitely some great chemistry between these two A certain horses backside gets his comeuppance A smexy twin meets his match and possibly his mate Bishop finds his marshmallow center (swoon) And so much more This ends on a teaser for the next book in the series though Bishop and Larissa do have their HFN

I had to relisten to book one since I listened to it two years ago. I thought I'd skip through it just to do a quick reminder, but I couldn't make myself do it. I had to listen to it all. It was just as good the second time and set up this next book perfectly. DARK EXODUS picked up where ORIGINAL SIN left off. I continue to enjoy the originality of Amish Vampires. I became even more invested in the characters, loving how the author is building the story. My heart ached through parts of this as well as completely broke at one point. But I laughed a few times as well. We are left with more questions and a cliffhanger that made me yell, noooo! I look forward to the next book! Lucinda Gainey is an excellent narrator. She voiced all the characters well with an emotional performance. This book rolled like a movie in my head. #ValentinePRaudioreview

Holy Moly!!! My heart is still pounding after reading 'Dark Exodus', Lydia Michaels' second book in her "The Order of Vampires" series. The entire book kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was coming around the corner. Ms. Michaels has quickly escalated her standing in my mind as a new one-click author with this series. She certainly knows how to grab onto a reader and keep them invested. I know I certainly am.
