About this ebook

Pebbles and Izzy are best friends. Pebbles is a four-year-old Aboriginal girl, and Izzy is a young wolf. Together, they live in the Australian bush in a cave by the sea, so theyre called water people. They live with her grandparents, parents, sister, and brother. This is her tribe, and Izzy has been welcomed into it since she is the child of the wolf of Pebbless sister. The bond between Pebbles and Izzy is very strong, and they are always together everywhere and in everything they do. One day, while sitting by the sea, Pebbless mother holds a shell to her ear. Shes shocked to hear the ocean talking to her! She shows Izzy, and she hears it too. They search for other shells to listen to, but oops, they pick up a crab instead! Mr. Crab is grumpy, so they rename him Mr. Cranky. They help him back into the sea, so the next day hes not quite so grumpy. He is in need of a fresh, clean shell to live in, though, so Pebbles and Izzy decide to give him a hand, finding the most beautiful shell on the beach. Read all about these fantastic friends and see how they help the natural world in which they live.
